LEAP Foundation DC Scholarship Opportunity

LEAP Foundation DC is proud to offer the distinguished Scholar-in-Residence program for Spring 2012. The Scholar-In-Residence program is an exciting opportunity for college students seeking to advance their professional career in education, public health, and/or social work, while gaining academic credit. The Foundation’s Scholar will be afforded housing and the unique opportunity to participate in a 16-week program that plays an instrumental role in fostering the growth and development of residents in the District of Columbia and surrounding communities.

The scholarship experience focuses specifically on strengthening expertise in public health, education and human development. By implementing traditional institutional research methods and applied clinical practice, scholars will acquire the knowledge and leadership expertise on how to carefully examine communities and organizations as a level of intervention for addressing serious health concerns facing individual, communities, and our nation.
The application deadline for the Spring program is December 23, 2011. Scholars will begin no later than January 16, 2012.
